Living in Saskatchewan means being surrounded by some pretty amazing wildlife. Out on the prairies and in the forests, you'll spot animals that are both familiar and iconic like the white tailed deer , the massive wood bison, and the quick white tailed jackrabbit. Deer are everywhere, adapting to farms and forests, bison are the giants of the boreal who remind us of the province’s history, and jackrabbits are those speedy hares that change their coats with the seasons. Together, they show off just how diverse and unique Saskatchewan’s natural environment really is.Please see images below for these beautiful animals
white tailed deer
excellent swimmers and runners, capable of reaching speeds up to 30 mph and jumping over 8 feet high they feed on vegatation and are very nervous, mostly browse for food at early mornings or late evenings
white tailed jackrabbit
nature's camouflage pros, turning white in winter except for their black ear tips, and are lightning-fast sprinters (up to 55 km/h) with massive leaps, using their huge ears as radiators to cool down
woodbison
fun fact about Bison it's said they can outrun a horse,they are incredibly fast
Hunting
